Kick-Off Sale
We will be starting out our lamb sales with a live bid board style sale on the farm. We did this for our Spring lamb sale and had great feedback from it. We kept it a fun atmosphere with a drawing, door prizes, and a trivia game. It gives everyone a chance for first pick (if they'd like it). It is called the "Kick-Off Sale" because it is the first chance to pick a lamb.
How does it work? All of the lambs will be in pens for easy viewing. Each animal has a sheet (or “board”) where buyers write down their anonymous buyer number and their bid. If someone else wants the same lamb, they can write a higher bid in increments of $25. After a set time, bidding closes, and whoever has the last (highest) bid wins and buys the animal for that price. At the end there will be a chance for anyone to bid again if needed.
Will the prices of lambs at the sale be higher than private treaty sales? All lambs will be sorted by their current trajectory for competitiveness and have a base price of $400-$650. We will have more lambs in the sale than we have buyers so everyone can go home with a lamb and there's a good chance you can go home with a lamb with a minimum bid (which will be the private treaty price). At the spring sale many lambs went for 1 minimum bid. A handful of the higher level lambs had multiple bids and went a bit higher than minimum.
What if I can't attend the sale due to a schedule conflict? You can sign up for a private treaty time that does fit your schedule or you are welcome to preview the lambs the week before the sale and send someone to bid in your place. Please do the arranging prior to the sale and directly with whoever will be there to bid for you. It's too complicated for us to try to juggle text messages or calls during the sale. If you live far away, let us know you are interested in the sale and we can connect you with someone who can put you on a Facetime call and bid for you.
Private Treaty Sales
Appointments for private treaty sales will be taken first come first served. They can be scheduled below with Google scheduler. The time slots will open on August 1st at 9 AM.
Private treaty is just a fancy way to describe a one-on-one purchase with lambs that are pre-priced. The range will be $400-$650. This is the same base price as the sale. All lambs not purchased in the sale will be available private treaty.

Fall-Born Lambs
We have our very first set of AI lambs due on October 8th. We have 11 ewes who are confirmed pregnant. This will be a much smaller group of lambs than our summer-borns. Availability will be limited. Fall-born lambs will sell in December. If you'd like a fall-born, let us know and we'll put you on the list.
